Mar.Co, renowned for its commitment to excellence, embraces challenges with the introduction of the new Mercury Verado V12 600 hp engines, presenting a special version of its flagship model, the R.Evolution X36. The shipyard's expertise shines through, underscoring its dedication to dynamic qualities. The vessel's hull, bracket, and tubes underwent meticulous optimization to accommodate the powerful and weighty new engines.
The production
Crafted entirely through vacuum-infused vinylester resin, this version exemplifies Mar.Co's dedication to superior quality. The infusion process provides advantages such as reduced weight, increased robustness, and extended durability, leading the shipyard to offer an impressive five-year warranty on the hull. The commitment to excellence extends beyond what meets the eye, encompassing all technical aspects crucial for reliability, safety, and owner satisfaction.
On the deck
The deck of the R-Evolution X36 maintains continuity with its predecessor, the R-Evolution 35, while sporting a new, sporty, and elegant look. Even seemingly mundane elements, such as the bow's dolphin striker, reflect the shipyard's meticulous design approach, emphasizing both aesthetics and functionality. The foredeck features comfortable seating areas, with the option to install a table that, when lowered, serves as a sunbathing platform.

Beneath the deck, clever compartment utilization includes spaces under seats and a spacious compartment beneath the sun pad. The toilet, a standard inclusion, features thoughtful design elements such as a sofa in the access door and a well-appointed interior with a shower drain. The optional fiberglass T-Top, infused like the rest of the boat, adds both functionality and style.
The helm station is suitably equipped to command the formidable 1,200 horsepower delivered by the new Verado 600 engines. The VIP status of the vessel is further exemplified by the kitchen unit, which incorporates a cooling bottle holder. The cockpit, with its square shape, offers deep-seated and padded areas, and the sun pad can be electrically lifted to create additional space or serve as a table.
The synthetic non-slip flooring, designed exclusively for this model in a hexagonal pattern, adds a touch of sophistication. Fractioned and contoured seat cushions allow easy access to storage compartments without removing the upholstery. Mar.Co's trademark foldable side decks enhance safety by reducing the boat's width when deflated.
The new Mercury Verado V12 engines, each generating 600 horsepower, are located outside the hull, maximizing space for equipment storage above the bracket. During navigation, these engines exhibit unprecedented acceleration, making throttle management a delicate task due to their immense power. The hull planes at a mere 10 knots, highlighting the shipyard's expertise in weight distribution for dual engines.

At 2,600 rpm, the vessel cruises comfortably at 20 knots, with minimal noise in the cockpit. The automatic transmission optimizes performance seamlessly. The acceleration, whether in short or long gear, is lightning-fast due to the substantial power-to-weight ratio. Surprisingly, at 25 knots, the vessel's fuel consumption is an impressive 3 liters per nautical mile.
Analyzing the cruising range reveals efficient fuel consumption, surpassing 0.33 miles per liter up to 40 knots. Compared to twin 450 horsepower engines, the V12s exhibit similar fuel efficiency, consuming 4% more at 25 knots and 4% less at 40 knots. The high power compensates for the increased fuel consumption per mile, making the real consumption only 5% higher at full throttle. The Mar.Co R-Evolution X36, powered by 1,200 horsepower, achieves a remarkable 62 knots.
While not the fastest in its segment, the V12-powered vessel boasts superior comfort and safety on rough waters, attributed to its deep V-hull with a 24-degree deadrise at the stern. The V12 engines excel in maintaining high speeds while keeping fuel consumption low, owing to their hydrodynamic foot design, effective propellers, and the hull's streamlined shape that minimizes turbulence.
Conclusions
Mar.Co R-Evolution X36, propelled by the new Mercury Verado V12 600 hp engines, stands as a testament to the shipyard's dedication to excellence. The vessel seamlessly combines luxury, performance, and innovative design, making it a compelling choice for those seeking an unparalleled boating experience.
